Florida Leaders Commemorate Women's History Month

TALLAHASSEE, FL - Representative Geraldine Thompson (D-FL) hosted a Women's Legislative Breakfast on behalf of the National Foundation for Women Legislators (NFWL) in Tallahassee on March 6th, 2012, to honor current and former women legislators in Florida.

Thompson, who is currently NFWL's State Director for Florida, was joined by NFWL's current Chair, Representative Gayle Harrell (R-FL), as well as Representative Mia Jones (D-FL), a Regional Director for NFWL.

Commemorating Women's History Month, the event was attended by 44 of Florida's women leaders and featured remarks by Lt. Governor Jennifer Carroll (R-FL).

As NFWL embarks on its 75th Anniversary, the Foundation's leadership will be hosting events throughout the nation to support and promote women in elected office.
